Ask the locals and they'll tell you...the surf doesn't go flat very often, but this day was completely FLAT!! Luckily for us the sun was out and the dolphins were playing. With the low tide we were able to make it to the beautiful sand bar just outside of mana island. (the sand bar they go to in endless summer two when the surf was flat). The brilliant contrast of blues over bleached white sand is enough to make anyone's senses tingle with joy. Its almost to incredible to describe. Heres long time Fiji Surf guests Mike and Cora from Oahu enjoying the scenic beauty of the mamanuca Islands. This Guest (below) from Sonaisali Island Resort said Id better put these shots up so his friends and family would believe him when he told them of what he saw that day. These pristine islands with out inhabitants tell the story of what the south pacific must have looked like pre-contact from the western world. (I think Tom Hanks is signaling for help on the beach on this famous island) Capitain Ratu Aca Ravulo (Below) Is proud to be from Fiji and never tires of the beauty that surrounds his home. Yes he enjoys playing about the sand bar on flat days but you can bet he is eagerly awaiting this weeks scheduled onslaught of large period SW swells!
